Presentation2023.12.16

Chen Jieyin, Chaeeun Noh, and Hiromitsu Miyata presented posters at the 10th annual meeting of the Japanese Association of Mindfulness.

The annual conference of the Japanese Association of Mindfulness is being held at the Hongo Campus, The University of Tokyo, from December 16th to 17th, 2023. Since 2020, the event has been consistently held online, but this year's meeting marks a return to the traditional in-person format, providing an opportunity for us to meet many researchers face-to-face.

From the Miyata Lab, Master's students Chen-san and Noh-san, along with Professor Miyata, presented posters. It was an almost first-time experience in presenting in-person for the two graduate students, but a thorough preparation for the presentations made it a valuable experience. Their topics involved body dysmorphic concern (body image disorders) and the mind-body health related to eating disorders, both highly relevant contemporary themes. Also, from my continued analysis of the data collected from 2020 to 2023, interesting findings on psychological health associated with the COVID-19 pandemic have  been obtained.
