Graduation ceremony of the Graduate School of Letters, Arts and Sciences for the 2023 Academic Year was held.
今年度の大学院文学研究科と文化構想学部の学位授与式は、2024年3月25日に行われます。午前中には大学院文学研究科心理学コースの式典が行われました。
宮田研究室からは昨年度に続いて、今年度は修士課程2年生の陳潔寅さんと魯彩恩さんが修了されました。お二人とも無事に就職も決まり、何よりです。それぞれのご家族の方もキャンパスに来られており、直接お会いするのは初めての方も多かったと思いますが、英語などでご挨拶させていただきました。
それぞれ修士論文を立派に書き上げられたことに加え、2023年度中に陳さんは容装心理学研究に論文が掲載され、魯さんは日本マインドフルネス学会で受賞されました。外部発表の面でも成果を挙げ、修了に花を添えることができたと思います。
基礎研究でもそれが何の役に立つかの説明が求められる現代ですが、本来の学問はすぐに役に立つとは限らないもので、世界の真理の一端を解き明かそうとする純粋知としての知的営みです。実務の世界に行っても、そのような学問の意味を時に立ち止まって考えておくことは、結果として人生を何倍にも豊かにしてくれることでしょう。簡単にですが、私からは修了者の方にそんな挨拶を送りました。
お二人とも、いったん研究活動からは離れられることになりますが、これからも社会に出ての益々のご活躍をお祈りしています。
