Ayaka Sampei, a graduating student who has belonged to our seminar, became the representative of graduating students of the School of Culture, Media and Society, Waseda University, for the 2021 Academic Year. Because a representative and a vice-representative are selected from each School basically on the basis of the GPAs, this honor meas that Ayaka has won a first place in grades among all students in the School. I heard that her name was announced during the graduation ceremony of the School.
I believe that Ayaka has spent a hard time during the 2021 academic year, because she has had to study both for job hunting and for her seminar thesis. Nevertheless, Ayaka has finally attained this wonderful achievement after 4 years. Whether she is a representative or not, I wish that Ayaka will stay healthy during the long life from now.
The other two graduating students were also nominated as students with high academic grades in the Contemporary Human Studies. I gave them some flowers and asked them to take a photo together.
I am also looking forward to the future success of younger students who will follow these graduates.
