Francesco Saldarini has arrived at Waseda as a Visiting Research Fellow.
Mr. Francesco Saldarini arrived at Tokyo on February 10th, and so far plans to stay at Waseda University until June as a Visiting Research Fellow.
Francesco is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Surrey, UK, studying therapeutic mechanisms of mindfulness-based interventions on the basis of the Monitor and Acceptance Theory. Based his previous studies conducted in the UK, Francesco plans to run his study in Japan. He is also a continued practitioner of martial arts.
Francesco was the first to contact our lab shortly after I launched this website last year, which subsequently led to his stay in Japan by using Waseda University's system of Visiting Research Fellows. This was also a good opportunity for me to recognize the importance of disclosing lab activities to the public.
Since his participation in the lab, a large part of our activities has come to be conducted by using both English and Japanese, which has significantly contributed to heightened levels of overall lab activities. I look forward to further progress that should be made in near future.
