Graduation ceremony of the Graduate School of Letters, Arts and Sciences was held.
On 25th March, beginning from 12.00, a graduation ceremony of the Graduate School of Letters, Arts and Sciences for the 2022 school year was held. This year, our lab had the first student to graduate from the Master's Course; Daisuke Kobayashi obtained the Master's degree and graduated today. Third-year undergraduate students presented Kobayashi-san with a ballpoint pen with his name printed on it.
I suppose that he has been full of his work during the latest several years, not only for his research but also for studies to obtain a national qualification of psychologist and for his job application. I am pleased that he has finally attained this stage. An increasing number of junior students are growing up, who should follow Kobayashi-san to further develop our lab.
Eastern traditional thoughts entail the idea of transience, or that all things are constantly changing. This idea derives the fact that research skills that graduate students have obtained at the graduate school may or may not be directly connected to the their upcoming jobs. Nevertheless, within the timespan of years or even decades, what they have acquired at this stage my help you in any possible ways. Therefore, what we should do is to sincerely face with the activities that we are currently engaging in. I improvised these phrases as greetings to the graduate students at the Department of Psychology.
