Undergraduate Mind-Body seminar for the Spring Semester, 2023 Academic Year, has started.
After a one-year break, the classes for Miyata Seminar in the undergraduate program have restarted. The first class primarily focused on future guidance, involving self-introductions, determining the order for literature reading, assigning roles for third-year students, and taking group photos.
Throughout the Spring Semester, third-year students will primarily engage in reading basic literature on psychology, and also initiate group research activities in the latter half of the semester. Fourth-year students will work on their seminar theses following their individual topics of interest. During the present period, many may not yet have a clear picture of what they want to explore in their seminar theses. But I believe that, through ongoing discussions, their objectives will gradually become more apparent.
For the 2022 academic year, we had Dr. Ishikawa filling in as a substitute instructor for the entire year, so I also need to reacquaint myself with the seminar's atmosphere after a considerable break. I hope we can all enjoy the seminar together, and make the most of the experience.
